A day well spent...

...the ground thawed long enough that dad's headstone could be set for mom's homecoming!

Blessings continue...

Sometimes, Heavenly Father answers prayers immediately!  Thank you from a grateful daughter!!

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad

Today is their 58th anniversary - even tho they're not spending it together, it still counts!

"A baby's born in the middle of the night...
...You know to me it's all so clear
Every one of us is here
All because two people fell in love.
...Yea there ain't nothing not affected
When two hearts get connected
All that is will be or ever was
Every single choice we make
Every breath we get to take
Is all because two people fell in love"
   Lyrics - Brad Paisley

Most marriages are NOT made in heaven;
they come in kits--and you have to put them together yourself.

Thank You, Mom & Dad, for putting your kit together :-) We love you!!

New Year’s Music and the Spoken Word

“It has been wisely noted that having one foot yesterday and one foot in tomorrow is a rather unstable position. The best way to face the future, it seems, is to keep both feet in today.  We can’t spend too much time looking back because too much still lies ahead.  And we can’t live only in the future or we’ll miss out on today’s happiness.  We need to live fully in the present and savor every moment knowing that in the coming years we’ll be longing for the days we have right now.  Indeed the good ole days are not in the past they are right now.  Our ancestors each had their hard days and heartache, we have ours and our descendants will all have theirs.   The process of life is to go forward in the present, with the past behind us and the future ahead of us.  We do not know when we will be required to leave this mortal existence, said Thomas S. Monson, and so we are ask ‘what are we doing with today’.  Have we been guilty of declaring I’ve been thinking of making some course corrections in my life.  I plan to take the first step tomorrow.  With such thinking, tomorrow is forever.   Such tomorrows rarely come unless we do something about them today.  With that, now is a good time to re-evaluate our goals and aspirations.  Rethink our direction and purpose in life and refocus our efforts and energy on worthwhile endeavors.
The present becomes the past in a moment, so before it does, make the most of it. The future is really just the unfolding present. The future is bright for is bring for those who take the time, as the proverb counsels, to ponder the path under our feet.”

More Christmas moments...

Christmas Eve at the annual Wilson party... (including the Morris', Lederer's and Fuller's)

Next, Christmas morning at home...

Then off to Tahoe with the Greenwells...

We are truly Blessed!
From Music and the Spoken Word..."She determined to do more now.  She decided her future would be different because of what she had learned in her past.  She learned that failure, like success, is never final. Life is a process, not a finished product"
