Woody's Postcard #3

FRIDAY:  We woke up in Naples, Italy!  Grampa wasn’t feeling great, so we rested in the morning and had breakfast in our suite.  He was better by lunch so after a hamburger we got off the ship to walk to town.  We found Armando who took us in his taxi to Pompeii.  Drivers in Italy are crazy!  But Armando got us there safely.  Grampa took LOTS of pictures.  We felt badly for the people who were buried in the ashes from Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.  We forgot our coats on the ship, so of course it rained!!!  I didn’t get wet cause Gramma let me hid in her bag again, but Gramma & Grampa got soaked!  I like her bag :-)  We had pizza again and went back to the ship.  Gramma & Grampa went to the gym and spa, but I didn’t get to go.  Seems like they’re always heading to the laundry room…washing, ironing…aren’t we on vacation???  I ate dinner in the cabin while they went to dinner and a show.  We turned our clocks forward at midnight and went right to sleep.

Woody's Postcard #2

(If you click on the little "x" on the bottom right side of the slide shows, you can get rid of the game banner)  Funny thing…Goy didn’t tell his Momma that I went with Gramma and she was looking for me EVERYWHERE! But she’s happy now to know that I’m having fun  Thursday we got up early and went to Trevi Fountain and back to the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine for a daytime visit. We took a limo van to the airport and met the Princess crew who took us on a bus to Civitavecchia to board the ship. Our travel agent surprised us and upgraded us to a penthouse suite with a double balcony and lots of perks, like fresh fruit and canapés. Grampa promised to share his life vest and save me if we sink! They let me rest in the cabin while they went to a late dinner. We slept soooo good that night!

Woody's Excellent Mediterranean Adventure

When Gramma & Grampa were packing for their vacation, Goy and I decided that one of us should stowaway and go along. We tossed a coin and I won! I promised to take lots of pictures for him. Gramma & Grampa “seemed” happy to see me…hmmm… at least Gramma was when I talked Grampa into buying her an Italian Coca Cola Light :-) I slept very comfortably in Gramma’s carry-on for a VERY long flight to Rome. When we landed, Gramma & Grampa didn’t let me rest at all. We took the metro everywhere and I helped Grampa figure out the train map. In the morning it was very crowded. I hid in Gramma’s bag for safety. They took me to Vatican City where we walked the 550 steps to the top of the Dome at St.Peter’s square, ate pizza & gelato (YUMMM), and the Colosseum (no...we didn't eat the Colosseum, just visited it). When we got back to the hotel I was very tired, but Gramma made me download pictures before I went to sleep.
